Tea House Trekking
While trekking in Himalayas, there are some small hotels which are called as tea houses which provides the food and accommodation for the trekkers and guides. These tea houses are locally owned established along the trekking routes that provide the room and food at low price. In most the remote villages, tea houses are family-owned and the food are served what they do have in their home. So, you will experience the typical Nepalese cuisine during the trekking to Himalayas.In Everest and Annapurna region, tea houses are managed well with the attached bathrooms, hot showers and wide selection of foods as per your interest. But in the remote less travelled trekking routes, the tea houses provide the basic facilities.
Camping Trekking
majority of trekking in Nepal are of tea houses but there are many adventure places that are still awaiting exploration. These remote areas is operated in camping style of trekking which has a team of porters, chefs, trekking guides and staffs. Generally the high passes trekking and unexplored trekking are conducted in camping style. As compared to tea house trekking, these trekking styles are a little bit expensive, need to sleep inside tent throughout the trek. Camping treks can be done all the time in a year in a group. Dhaulagiri Base Camp Trek, Upper Mustang Trekking, Upper Dolpo Trekking, Rara Lake Trekking and Kanchenjunga Trekking are mainly operated in camping style of trekking in Nepal.
